2020 SUMMER CAMPS

Desa Karate Academy offers an amazing range of camp activities for all our students aged 6 and up. We understand that Covid-19 has had an impact on everyone over the last few months which is why we feel out camps are needed now more than ever. We have adapted our camps to address the situation at hand so that parents won't have to worry while their children have fun. We are following public health measures, practicing social distancing. and have implemented increased hygiene measures. In order to ensure the safety of our students, we have cancelled field trips for this summer and have limited the number of participants. This may change as the situation around Covid-19 continues to change but we recommend reserving your spot as soon as possible. Currently there is no payment required to reserve a spot in our summer camps.

Here's just a glance of what you can expect every week with our summer camps:

  • Everyday will include at least 45 minutes of karate with the opportunity to progress through the ranks and work towards a black belt.

  • With designated lunchtime and 2 snack times, your kids will maintain a healthy balance to keep them going. All children will be seated 6 feet apart and we will encourage good hygiene.

  • Guest instructors and helpers to keep everyone engaged.

  • Bully Self Defense classes to help keep your children safe.

  • Fun crafts that relate to the theme of each week. We will provide supplies to each individual participant to avoid sharing tools. In this case... sharing is not caring.

  • From a movie night with popcorn to educational videos throughout the week, students can have fun while they learn.

These are just a few things that every week of our summer program include. Whether you're looking for something to keep your children active, develop important life skills and traits, or simply give your child the opportunity to grow and gain a Black Belt, we are here to help. We are also open to suggestions and special requests, get in touch to learn more about what we have to offer.
